Thanks for the plug in! I just installed it on two of my sites for a test drive. I really like the facebook commenting. Will the social media login work with buddy press?
Hey Steelbak,
Thanks for the appreciation.
Yes, Super Socializer is compatible with Buddypress. Let me know if you need any help with this.
Keep socializing.
Thank you. I do have a couple of things I would like to sort out. Comments are only showing when logged in. I also have to keep logging in to post, even when signed in using social login.
it is due to your WordPress configuration.
To enable Facebook commenting for the users not logged in:
1. Navigate to “Settings” > ‘Discussion” in the left pan of WordPress admin panel
2. Uncheck “Users must be registered and logged in to comment” option under “Other comment settings” section.
3. Save changes
Hope this helps
Yes, you can ask me for any issues here or through my email.
buen día ami no me sale…lo cree mi aplicación pero no puedo iniciar sesión con facebook….me pueden ayudar? en la parte donde dice “User Stats” mi aplicación se queda cargando porque sera… gracias
When I went to submit the app for review to gain my APP ID it is asking me to submit 4 pictures of my app for the review. What pictures should I use. Thanks for your help, I am knew to this all
Is there any message/notification when you click “No”?
Probably, it’s because you have not provided your “Contact Email” under “Basic” section at “Settings” menu in the left at your Facebook app page.
Hi there, thanks in advance for the pluging, it looks pretty awe.
I just get into this, so Im newy tech so i wanna know what setting this app its worth for? could you help me?
Hey really nice work man iwas checking all info but still having couple questions,
It is necessary to APP each application to make it work, I mean is not just as simple as link the social provider and thats it? why? and why its worth it to APP each social supplier.
Thanks for appreciation.
It is necessary to create app for Social Login to work. This app authenticates user and helps in fetching profile data, without which Social Login functionality cannot work.

Sweet blog! I found it while browsing on Yahoo News.
Do you have any tips on how to get listed in Yahoo News?
I’ve been trying for a while but I never seem to get there!
Cheers
Hey,
It is just a matter of SEO. To mention a few of the SEO tips (there are many if you Google it):
1. Associate keywords with your blogs.
2. Categorize your blogs
3. Engage audience to your blog by let them comment
4. Regularly publish blogs
Feedback on this instructional post. Very clear and concise. I can only imagine the long-drawn-out back and forth of trial and error without these great instructions. Thank you very much; I’m about to put the plug-in to work and will comment at wp,org per your replies above.
Its great to connect with a developer as concerned with his clients as s/he is with getting the product out there.
FYI – in case it comes up for others, I initially was getting javascript errors because I had forgotten to deactivate another product I was trying earlier, “Wp-social……. “
Hey Ron,
Thanks for appreciation.
It is a great pleasure to get these kind of motivating comments which definitely help in getting the product to new heights.
Thank you for the directions, they were super helpful!
I have a quick question. I followed the instructions but I’m having trouble with allowing people to login through social media. The twitter icon is on the login page but it opens a secondary window of the home screen. Also I have set up for facebook and I’m not seeing it on there. What have I done wrong?
I hope that you are having a nice day! My website url is listed below. The facebook login is now working! The twitter icon is still redirecting to the homepage so I’m sure that it’s something I’ve done wrong. Thank you so much for your help!
For twitter issue, please make sure you have saved exactly the following url in “Website” and “Callback Url” options in your Twitter app (see step 5 above)
Just want to say your article is as astonishing.
The clarity for your submit is just spectacular and that i could suppose you’re an
expert on this subject. Well with your permission let me to grasp your feed to
stay updated with approaching post. Thanks one million
and please keep up the enjoyable work.
Hey Lupo,
Your website is showing Javascript errors when inspected in browser console. This seems to be causing the problem.
As a workaround, open “wp-content/plugins/super-socializer/css/front.css” in a code editor, find following code:
Hi! I’ve been following your web site for a while now and finally got the courage to go ahead and give you a shout out from Kingwood Texas!
Just wanted to say keep up the fantastic work!
Hey Fernanda,
It happens because of the slow loading of the website content. To fix it, download the gist at following link:

Hola!

Hi Champ. Very cool app! I’ve got it installed and it’s working like a charm except for one thing. When I share a post to Facebook it goes to my personal page instead of my business page. Have any idea what I did wrong?
Hey Tom,
First you need to switch to your business page in your Facebook account. After that sharing post on Facebook will post it to your business page.
Thanks, but I’m not sure I follow. My business page seems to be attached to my personal page (you can tell I’m new to Facebook). I had to create the personal page to be able to create the business page, or so I understood. Do I need to delete that business page and start over from scratch? And then register again as a Facebook developer? Sorry, I knpw you aren’t Facebook Support, but I can’t seem to get much help from them.
You can test the sharing functionality from another Facebook account (yours or your friend’s) because I am not sure about how your Facebook account is setup.
Seems, you are talking about Facebook icon. It appears after the Facebook API has been loaded on the webpage which is loading slow because of lot of content at the webpage. To make it appear, replace existing “wp-content/plugins/super-socializer/css/front.css” with the file at following link:
This file contains bidirectional Unicode text that may be interpreted or compiled differently than what appears below. To review, open the file in an editor that reveals hidden Unicode characters. Learn more about bidirectional Unicode characters
Seems, you are talking about publishing posts on the wall on Facebook login. You need to follow the steps mentioned at following link and enable feed from “Super Socializer > Facebook > Feed” section for that:
Hi thechamplord! I have a mobile site version too of my website. I entered the mobile site URL in the form field apart from the Desktop URL.
But Comments posted in desktop version does not show up in mobile version and vice versa.
Though same APP id & Admin Id are used at both Desktop and Mobile versions. (My sites are not on word press) . It would be great to have your tips to solve this issue!
Note: When I go to “Moderate Application Comments”, can see comments from both sites in chronological order.
Can I share URL of the Desktop and Mobile Site pages?
Hi David,
Facebook renders comments based on the webpage url, instead of FB App. That’s why there are different comments for your desktop and mobile sites because of the difference in urls.
OOPS.. there is a problem… the comments on the mobile site can be seen only if the user who posted the comment is logged in Facebook. Could this be due to use of same appID for both sites?
This happens if the commenter’s Facebook account is recently created. Facebook has clearly mentioned in its documentation – “If you are using personal account, Facebook requires commenters to have 4 friends and a profile photo in order for a comment to appear outside your own network of friends.”
You can try commenting with another Facebook account to clarify the issue.
Hey Marcin,
Thanks for the appreciation 🙂
Yes, it is possible to moderate FB comments. Would you drop me an email at lordofthechamps[at]gmail[dot]com regarding this?
but I think I am unable to receive any comments via FB (even though the comment box is visible on the website posts) because in my wordpress admin area it says : ” Please enter your Facebook App ID for Facebook Comments to work properly. ”
After reading the above message i tried to get my APP ID by logging in my facebook business page but there it says “This account is not authorized to manage apps. Please use your verified personal Facebook account to create and manage your apps”
So how can i get my App ID so that readers can post through FB on my website. Kindly help
Thanks a lot for the step by step guidance, because of this I was able to do it successfully. I am bit confused though, since I used my personal account to create app id, the comments I will get on my website will be of my business page right, since I used my website URL?
Great instructions and I got it to work. What about Google API? I went through it on Google Developer and got a key but it doesnt show. Also Im curious.. Does This site use the same plugin for adding comments? This is perfect.
Hey Tyler,
To look into the G+ issue I would require your website url.
This website is not using Super Socializer at all as this is not self-hosted WordPress website.
I added the plugin to a website and now I can’t login. The login page is gone and I get the message “You must log in to access the admin area.” http://site.cheapticketscanada.com/wp-admin Even though I was already logged in.
“Login page gone” issue is not related to my plugin. I am unable to social login at your website to check the issue regarding the message. You have saved incorrect “Site Url” option in FB app settings. To fix it, enter following url in the “Site URL” option of Facebook app (see step 7) and save the changes: http://site.cheapticketscanada.com
Hi there! I already said before how much I like your plugin. It’s really great! One question. I have a multisite, but the users are all the same across my sub-sites. Do I have to create a separate app in each of the social networks for each of my sub-site or is there a way to add a sub-site into an existing app? Many thanks!
Hi Nata,
Thanks for the appreciation.
I would like to know which social networks you have enabled for social login so that I can guide you in the right direction.
You have to create separate app for each subdomain in your multisite network except Facebook.
To use single app for all the subdomains in multisite network, go to Facebook app (you are using for social login) dashboard, navigate to “Settings” section from the left sidebar, specify the domain (main domain without http, e.g. – example.com) in “App Domains” option and save changes.
Oh! That’s disappointing! I understand this is the social network’s limitation, not the plugin’s, right? So I’m assuming there wouldn’t be any other social login plugin that solves the issue? Thanks – I really appreciate your prompt responses!
Yea, it’s about social networks. You may find some plugins that let you use single API key for all the websites in multisite network if you are willing to spend thousands of dollars.
I will see if something can be done to make this easier.
Your plugin is amazing, and your level of support is incredible! Thank you so much!
You made my day 😉
Thanks very much!! very easy to follow and is now set up!!

it is due to your WordPress configuration.

Hi. This is a very useful plugin, but I have a problem. I selected the icon of Facebook, but it does not appear. I don’t understand why 😦
http://animeartonline.altervista.org/blog/
Hey Lupo,
Your website is showing Javascript errors when inspected in browser console. This seems to be causing the problem.
As a workaround, open “wp-content/plugins/super-socializer/css/front.css” in a code editor, find following code:
.theChampFacebookButton{background-position:0 0;width:32px;height:32px;display:none}
And replace the above code with following:
.theChampFacebookButton{background-position:0 0;width:32px;height:32px;display:block}
Save the file back. Replace existing file, if prompted.
It works! Thanks! 😀
Cheers 🙂
Fascinating blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere?
A design like yours with a few simple adjustements would really make my blog stand out.

Hi! I did everything in this tutorial but it still doesn’t work. When I click on the Facebook icon to login nothing happens.
Hi Diana,
When I tried Facebook login at your website, I got following message in the popup:
Which shows that the steps to create Facebook app are not followed properly. You need to go through the steps again to make sure none is missing.
Hi Champ. Very cool app! I’ve got it installed and it’s working like a charm except for one thing. When I share a post to Facebook it goes to my personal page instead of my business page. Have any idea what I did wrong?

Pretty! This has been an extremely wonderful post. Many thanks for supplying this info.
Hey Luca,
Thanks for the appreciation.
It’s not showing a logo.
Why do they call you ‘the chanp’ BTW?
Hey Mike,
Which logo it is not showing? I would need your website url to look into the issue.
You can ask them yourself 🙂
My name at the top links through to it…
Why do they call him Chamb, does anybody know?
I can see login icons working at the login page and sharing vertical interface at your website. Would you tell me which logo are you talking about?
Is this the way it should appear?
If so, I can change the CSS files myself.
I’d like a logo there.
Thanks,
Mike.
Seems, you are talking about Facebook icon. It appears after the Facebook API has been loaded on the webpage which is loading slow because of lot of content at the webpage. To make it appear, replace existing “wp-content/plugins/super-socializer/css/front.css” with the file at following link:

Hi there,
Would you let me know your website url so that I can look into the issue?
now there’s a website under my nick. Thanks in advance
Seems, you are talking about publishing posts on the wall on Facebook login. You need to follow the steps mentioned at following link and enable feed from “Super Socializer > Facebook > Feed” section for that:
That’s right – I missed it somehow. But strangely – it was publishing posts on the walls just after I installed plugin – about month ago. Thanks a lot
Reblogged this on mrahmadawais.wordpress.com.

Hi thechamplord! I have a mobile site version too of my website. I entered the mobile site URL in the form field apart from the Desktop URL.

Can I share URL of the Desktop and Mobile Site pages?
Hi David,
Would you share the urls for desktop and mobile websites so that I can have a look?
Thanks in Advance, thechamplord!
I have created only 1 Comment App and the same APP Id is being used in both pages.

(You can see several comments here)
Only difference in the URL is “m.”
Since same AppID is used in both pages, I was expecting comments to be synchronized between mobile & desktop sites
Hi David,
Facebook renders comments based on the webpage url, instead of FB App.
Thanks “thechamplord”! Let me try this! It should work! It’s great to see such help coming along! You DO HAVE in depth information & knowledge!
Your welcome 🙂
Hello there. The plugin is by far one of the best of social plugins I’ve tried so far. Great job @thechamplord!
Is there any way to moderate FB comments?

Hey Marcin,

Yes, it is possible to moderate FB comments. Would you drop me an email at lordofthechamps[at]gmail[dot]com regarding this?

Yea, it’s about social networks. You may find some plugins that let you use single API key for all the websites in multisite network if you are willing to spend thousands of dollars.
I will see if something can be done to make this easier.
Your plugin is amazing, and your level of support is incredible! Thank you so much!
